The Book That Changed My Life

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE READ MY DISCLOSURE FOR MORE INFO.

I’ve only started reading within the past few years of my life, and wow have I been missing out. If you don’t read, I highly recommend starting right now. If you do read, you’ll love what I have to say about the following book. Many books are fun to read, many books are educational, and many books are emotional. The following book, however, was a mix of everything. This book changed my life. If you are looking for a life-changing book, you have arrived at the right post.

Zen and The Art of Happiness

The book I speak so highly of is Zen and The Art of Happiness. This book is a short read, which is good for those who don’t always enjoy reading or can’t always find the time to read. Although it’s short, it holds so much meaning. I have read this book more than 5 times, and I continue to read it over and over again. Why? Because the meaning this book has changed my whole mindset.

My Opinion

The author, Chris Prentiss, does an amazing job of opening the reader’s eyes to a whole new way of thinking about life and about happiness. He explains (in many personal experiences) how he finds the happiness in everything he does. A quote from the book and a quote I now live by says:

“Everything that happens to me is the best

possible thing that can happen to me.”

This may seem hard to grasp at first, as it was for me, and I know what you are thinking.. “So, Hannah, you are trying to tell me that losing my job is the best possible thing that can happen to me? Being sick is the best possible thing that can happen to me? Being financially unstable is the best possible thing that can happen to me?” Trust me, I know how crazy it sounds. Somehow, though, Chris Prentiss makes this quote make sense. Perfect sense! The way he explains his reasoning is life changing. I want to tell you how he does this, but I’ll leave that for you to read on your own!

Ever since I read this book for the first time, I have truly found the good in everything. And if not everything, at least most things; much more than I used to! This is the kind of book that makes you question a lot of things in life, which is my favorite kind of book. I never thought a book could change me and make me a better person.

Who Should Read This Book?

Anyone and everyone! I truly believe this book would benefit so many people and benefit their mindset the way it did mine. I think we all need to fill our lives with more happiness and positivity, and this book does just this. Any age, any gender, anyone!

Any Negatives?

The only negative I found was that it wasn’t longer! Because it was such a short read, I finished reading it within a few days and I was honestly sad when it was over. The best part of owning a book, though, is that you can read it over and over again! And trust me, I have read this book many times.

Price?

One of the best things about this book is the price! I bought my copy for under $15, which is such a good deal for such an amazing book in my opinion. This book has done so much for me that I would honestly pay $100 for it if I had to! Check out the price here.

If you are wanting an amazing read that will change your way of thinking, I highly recommend this book. I would never recommend anything to my readers that I didn’t believe in 100%. And if you want to know a little secret, this book is what originally inspired me to start this blog about motivation and mindset. This book has forever changed my life, and I hope it does the same for you.

Finding the happiness in everything has been the backbone of many of my blog posts. Spring Clean Your Life is about decluttering your life to make room for more happiness! Another is Love Your Now, which is about finding the happiness in your life now instead of looking forward to happiness to come. I hope this book and these posts help to improve your life! Thank you readers, and don’t forget to smile!
